VMF Automatic Tubular Back-flushing Mesh Filter

Short Description:

Filter element: Stainless steel wedge mesh. Self-cleaning method: back-flushing. When impurities collect on the outer surface of the filter mesh (either when the differential pressure or time reaches the set value), the PLC system sends a signal to initiate a backflush process using the filtrate. During the backflush process, the filter continues its filtering operations. The filter has obtained 3 patents for its filter mesh reinforcement support ring, applicability to high pressure conditions and novel system design.

Filtration rating: 30-5000 μm. Flow rate: 0-1000 m3/h. Applies to: low-viscosity liquids and continuous filtration.

Introduction

VITHY® VMF Automatic Tubular Back-flushing Mesh Filter combines multiple standard filter units into an automatic filtration system.

The system is safe and can flexibly increase the number of in-line units according to the flow rate needs. The filter runs automatically, eliminating manual cleaning. It has high scalability, can be connected to high-pressure back-flush fluid, and works with low differential pressure. It adopts a high-precision wedge mesh filter element, which can be thoroughly back-flushed and consumes few liquids for backwashing. When filtering impurities that are difficult to deal with, it is easy to open the filter for maintenance if the filter mesh needs to be cleaned manually. The filter purifies fluids, protects key pipeline equipment, and can also recover expensive solid particles with its back-flush effluent. The filter is suitable for low-viscosity liquids, such as raw water, clean water, sealed water, wastewater, gasoline, heavy coking gasoline, diesel, slag oil, etc.

Operating Principle

When the slurry passes through the filter unit, the particulate impurities in it are intercepted on the outer surface of the filter mesh, accumulating to form a filter cake, so that the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet of the filter unit gradually increases. When the pressure difference reaches the preset value, it indicates that the filter cake has reached a certain thickness. At this time, the filterable flow rate of the filter mesh is gradually decreasing. The control system initiates the back-flush action to back-flush from the inside of the filter mesh, taking away the impurities on the surface. External water can also be used for back-flushing.

Features

● The filter introduces external fluid for back-flushing, which can be installed before or after the pump and is suitable for both low-pressure and high-pressure inlets.

● It adopts the modular combination of high-quality pneumatic ball valves, equipped with highly reliable instruments and control systems.
