VAS-I Automatic Self-cleaning Internal Scraper Filter

Short Description:

Filter element: Stainless steel wedge mesh/perforated mesh. Self-cleaning method: scraper plate/scraper blade/brush rotating. When impurities accumulate on the inner surface of filter mesh (differential pressure or time reaches the set value), PLC sends a signal to drive the scraper to rotate to scrape off impurities, while the filter keeps filtering. The filter has obtained 7 patents for its automatic shrinking and fitting function, excellent sealing performance, quick cover opening device, novel scraper type, stable structure of main shaft and its support, and special inlet and outlet design.

Filtration rating: 25-5000 μm. Filtration area: 0.22-1.88 m2. Applies to: high impurity content and continuous uninterrupted production conditions.

Introduction

VITHY® VAS-I Automatic Self-cleaning Internal Scraper Filter automatically removes particulate impurities on the inner surface of the filter mesh, in an effective way of mechanical scraping. The scrapers are made of PTFE/stainless steel, equipped with high-precision springs, which can accurately expand and stretch. The scrapers are close to the surface of the filter mesh, and can efficiently remove impurities.

When the impurities accumulate to a certain extent, the automatic sewage valve opens and the impurities are discharged from the bottom sewage outlet. The filter is suitable for high impurity content and continuous uninterrupted production conditions, for it 1) can realize continuous in-line filtration and 2) particulate impurities recovery, 3) generates no filter consumables, and 4) does not need frequent manual cleaning.

Operating Principle

The raw material enters the filter from the inlet and is filtered through the filter mesh, and impurities are trapped on the inner surface of the filter mesh. As impurities accumulate, the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet gradually rises. When the differential pressure or time reaches the set value, the motor drives the scrapers equipped with a corrector to rotate close to the surface of the filter mesh to scrape off the impurities. Impurities flow down with the stream to the collection chamber. The sewage system is automatically turned on regularly. During the impurities scraping and sewage discharging process, the filter keeps filtering.
